The fighting soldier, policeman, Customs Officer and Operatives of similar agencies and organisations now face an increasing risk of being detected by Thermal Imagers in the field or when mounting covert operations, whether mounted on airborne platforms, on vehicles or increasingly hand-held. The human being produces a considerable amount of heat which can easily be detected as Black Body Radiation by a Thermal Imager (TI) operating in the 8~14 micron band.
